Ron Wernette is a partner of Bowman and Brooke LLP, a national trial law firm with 180 lawyers in Arizona, California, Michigan, Minnesota, Virginia, South Carolina and Texas.  

 

He is a seasoned trial lawyer on the defense side, with a practice focused on product liability, toxic exposure, and other personal injury defense.  In addition to his lead trial counsel role, Ron provides counsel concerning liability prevention and risk management.

Mr. Wernette is a 1983 graduate of Kettering University (fka GMI Engineering & Management Institute), the University of Michigan Business School (MBA 1990), and the University of Michigan Law School (JD 1990, Magna Cum Laude, Law Review, Order of the Coif).  Before beginning private practice Ron served as a law clerk to Judge Cornelia Kennedy of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.  He is admitted to practice in all Michigan and Ohio state and federal courts. 

 

Most pertinent to his toxic exposure and nanotechnology risk practice, Ron is a member of the Defense Research Institute Product Liability Committee, the ABA Section of Science & Technology Law, and the American Chemical Society. 

 

Ron has been recognized by his peers with selection as a Michigan Super Lawyer in the area of Personal Injury Defense every year since its inception in 2006.
